Among my life’s greatest and most enduring passions is tea. I love tea. I drink at least two cups of tea every day, and usually manage more than that. I always drink black tea, typically unflavoured, with a splash of milk.
I currently have my twentieth cold of this never-ending winter, and have been turning to my beloved tea for comfort. If, like me, you are a tea aficionado, this post is for you.
A rich, full-bodied tea with big, full-on flavour.
I like my tea as strong as possible, and this dark, cold, rich, full-bodied tea is one of my all-time favourites. I purchased a box of this treasure on my trip to New Zealand last year, and how I wished I’d purchased more than one! New Zealander really do know how to brew a proper cuppa – strong and bold and perfect for waking up a sleepy Raincity Librarian.
Twinings New Zealand Breakfast
Made from a blend of the worlds finest small leaf teas, providing a rich, full flavour in a traditional teabag…
Oh New Zealand, why must you make such incredible teas that can’t be easily purchased outside of your remote island nation? Another strong, bold, rich cup of black tea with a pleasing bitterness that works beautifully with milk.
We do get Dilmah here in Raincity, but alas only one variety, and not this beauty. Dilmah creates teas that are delicious and ethically sound, so you can feel good about every cup. This is another New Zealand souvenir that makes me miss that beautiful country each and every morning.
In case you’re curious, I did indeed fill my suitcase with boxes of tea! Consumable souvenirs are the very best – they don’t clutter your house, and each time you enjoy them brings back good memories of the place you visited.
Are you a tea drinker, or more of a coffee person? What’s your favourite kind of tea?
I haven’t tried ANY of these! I love Kenya tea, but I haven’t tried that particular blend. Some of my favorites are Irish Breakfast and Yorkshire. My daughter introduced us to the Yorkshire after her summer in England. Ruth, thereisnosuchthingasagodforsakentown.blogspot.com
