Lower Mainland wild ones, save the date! On Saturday, May 26 I will be at Collage Collage from 12-2 to do a Wild One author event! I’ll be reading my sweet little story, and we’ll be making beautiful art inspired by Noel Tuazon’s charming watercolour illustrations.
If you aren’t familiar with Collage Collage, you’re missing out on one of Vancouver’s most creative small businesses. Collage Collage is an art studio that offers classes, camps and workshops for children and adults. Founded by the very talented Erin Boniferro and staffed by a team of fun and inspiring artists, Collage Collage is the perfect place to let your creative juices run free!
Collage Collage is all about using art and creation as a means of self-expression and self-exploration, so leave any doubts about your artistic talents at the door. Trust me, I’m far better at crafting words than images (which is why I’m an author and not an author-illustrator), but I find great satisfaction in getting a little wild and messy with my art supplies, and always enjoy the process, whatever the end result. In other words, this author event is suitable for little artists of all levels (and their grown ups) – all that matters is that you’re open to making new friends and having fun!
Be sure to check out the event listing for more information and to preorder your very own copy of Wild One, which you can pick up at the event and have signed by me! Already have a copy of Wild One? Don’t worry – books make the best gifts, especially when they’re signed by the author (even if that author has very messy penmanship).
So come on down to Collage Collage on May 26 from 12-2, and let’s get wild!
I hope you have a wonderful event! 🙂
Thank you! I hope someone comes! 😉
