YAACING is “the quarterly newsletter of the Young Adults And Children’s Services section of the British Columbia Library Association”, written and produced by youth services library staff from across the province of British Columbia, and it’s always a fantastic source of information, from book reviews to program outlines to felt story templates and more. A hardworking team of volunteers puts together each issue, to create a very professional newsletter I look forward to each season!
This season’s cover was created by the one and only Dawn Lo, who has appeared on Raincity Librarian before! YAACING boasts a regular column from the team at Jbrary, and this issue contains articles on a teen “Hunger Games”-themed survival program with indigenous content, hosting a kid’s variety show at your library, working with teens in crisis, and more! There might even be an article on running a tween manga club written by little old me!
If you work in youth services in any capacity, definitely check out this great free quarterly resource.
