I’ve been graciously gifted many picture books for review over the years, but the majority of the board books in my home library I’ve purchased myself. I just can’t resist an adorable board book, and I’m so thankful that I’ve picked up such a delightful collection over the years, as my little readers is very enthusiastic when it comes to books, and only the sturdiest pages can withstand his attentions!
Baby See, Baby Do by Robin Page is one of our favourite board books at the moment – baby loves looking at all the adorable little babies in the bright, colourful photographs! We got our copy at the Book Warehouse on Main Street, one of our favourite local bookstores.
It’s a bit sad that baby hasn’t been able to see his dear little peers up close and personal thanks to all that’s being going on in the world, and we all know how much babies love staring at the faces of other babies. Thanks to books like this, which are illustrated with full-colour photographs, baby can still get his fill of staring at the faces he so adores.
The diversity in these illustrations is another wonderful aspect of this board book, there’s such a lovely variety of little boys and girls being utterly charming. While we do live in a very diverse community, and baby already has little friends from many different countries, it’s still so important to normalize and celebrate diversity as early and as often as possible.
If you come across a copy of Baby See, Baby Do, I absolutely recommend picking up a copy, it’s sure to bring the smiles and giggles!
