A massive thank you to the lovely folks at CM: Canadian Review of Materials, whose all-volunteer reviewers assess “Canadiana of interest to children and young adults, including publications produced in Canada, or published elsewhere but of special interest or significance to Canada, such as those having a Canadian writer, illustrator or subject”, providing their expertise free of charge to librarians, educators and caregivers through their electronic journal.
It’s such an incredible thrill when a fellow educator and early literacy advocate finds value in my work. Publishing can be a demoralizing business, to say the least, but knowing that I’m creating work that has value for people who work with young children reminds me why I do this all in the first place. Thank you so much for the great review, CM!
Also…I’ve never actually been in close contact with a moose, though I’ve included them in two picture books this year, ha ha!
