It’s always such a delight when I get to cover a story time at another branch! My professional focus is currently on school-aged children, so I rarely get to deliver programs for babies, toddlers and preschoolers anymore – which is funny since they happen to be the kids I write most of my stories for.
Here’s what we did this week:
Hello Song: Hello, Friends!
Face/Hands Songs: I Wake Up My Hands / Eyes, Nose, Cheeky Cheeky Chin / Rolly Polly
Book #1: BEAR HAS A BELLY
Lap Bounces: Did You Ever See a Baby? / From Jarvis to Port Dover
Book #2: PEEK A BOO ZOO
Movement Songs: Zoom Zoom Zoom / London Bridge is Falling Down / The Elevator Song
Cool Down Songs: An Orca Whale / Rain is Falling Down
Goodbye Song: Goodbye, Friends!
We’re also coming up on my 10-year librarian anniversary, which means I’ve been doing story times like this one for almost a decade! Time really does fly when you’re having fun.
